Meet The Collective
Labor With Love is a full-service doula agency that is created by mothers and for mothers in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area. Our roles as a collective of skilled, experienced, and compassionate doulas include being the mothers’ assistant, labor whisperer, and birthing advocate. All our DFW doula services can be customized to accommodate various types of birth, i.e., natural birth, vaginal birth, cesarean, vaginal birth after C-section (VBAC), among others.
We continue to explore the boundaries of doula services by offering our expertise on various non-conventional methods of prenatal and postpartum care including prenatal yoga, breathing exercises, visualization, meditation, and massages. It is also an imperative for our team to provide positive affirmation from start to finish. We at Labor With Love believe that promoting positivity even in the simplest acts of kindness goes a long way. This is why we always work hard with fathers, midwives, gynecologists, nurses, and other health care professionals to foster a nourishing, safe, and empowering environment for mothers.
The Founders
Asra Ahmed
Asra Ahmed, the founder of Labor With Love, has a strong educational background in biology and psychology. She also has experience as a nutrition coach, nutrition advisor, consultant, and personal trainer who empowered her fellow women to achieve greater heights in sports and to have a healthier lifestyle. It was through her personal experiences as a mother and curiosities about child birth and birthing cultures that Asra decided to pursue a career in being a certified birth doula and child birth educator.
As a certified doula in Texas and England, Asra is dedicated to helping expecting mothers prevent or lower the risk of having a C-section (cesarean delivery). She took up AMANI birth classes and recently finished a course in spinning classes in order to strengthen her knowledge and expertise in helping moms have a healthy natural delivery. One of the many reasons why Asra stands out among birth, virtual, and postpartum doulas in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area is her solid foundation in behavioral psychology and anatomy and physiology. She is able to provide a holistic nurturing service for mothers and still back up Labor With Love’s DFW doula services with concrete scientific studies and research.
